Heat exchangers| VAD GmbH



Besides a blower, a CLOSED LOOP application needs a heat exchanger as essential complement and further key part. Its dimensioning and thermodynamic design are highly pivotal.

High-pressure safety heat exchanger

Our high-pressure safety heat exchanger was developed especially for the usage on test benches for fuel analysis in the automobile industry.

Medium: ethanol, methanol, petrol, any intermixtures of all the above named fluids.

Operating pressure: up to 900bar

Medium temperature: 180°C


We produce a wide variety of different heat exchanger designs. Our product diversity covers small- and medium-sized heat exchangers as well as solutions for large plants, including thermodynamic layouts and corresponding documentation.

By using tube bundle heat exchangers in the CLOSED LOOP applications, the compression- and friction losses of the blower are led off the system to gain constant temperature conditions.

An accurate heat exchanger design based on the blower data is key to gain those constant temperature conditions during the calibration as well as an important factor regarding the temperature control speed.

To optimize the aerodynamically attributes of the system, to extend the operational lifetime of the device and to minimize the pressure losses on the gas side as much as possible, the heat exchangers are coated on the gas side.
